If I were a Structuralist...

As a part of our study,(click here to see the study part) we learn STRUCTURALISM and how structuralist do their criticism.
Almost all literary theorists since Aristotle have emphasized the importance of structure. ''Structuralist criticism" now designated the practice of critics who analyze literature on the explicite model of structuralist linguistics. This mode of criticism is a part of a large movement, French Structuralism in the 1950s by the cultural anthripologist Claude Levi-Strauss, who analyzed, on Saussure's liguistic model.
Saussure has said about linguistic structure in which he has emphasized on three terms:
1. Parole: Which is individual utterence, a word. Every person uses different words as per their birth place for the word "Water"
2. Langue: Which is perticular meaning of a perticular word.
3. Language: So many Langue combinely made a Language. A meaningful way of communication.
As a structuralist on should identify these three things first. Here I am trying to analyze on movie.
My Views on the movie Bahubali as a Stucturalist........

Bahubali: The Beginning.. is a 2015 Indian epic historical fiction film directed by S. S. Rajamouli. Produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni, it is the first of two cinematic parts. The film was simultaneously made in Telugu and Tamil and dubbed into Hindi, Malayalam and French.
In this movie we could see that there is mystery. There is romance. There is war between good and evil also. But the structure, the base is one's identity. which reveals at last.
A boy namely Shiva was brought up by a village couple who was originally a prince. When he came to know about his identity at last by Kattappa, a loyal servant of the king Bahubali, the movie ends with a question that why Kattappa killed Shiva's father?
The movie is translated in 3 languages. Other language interprets every word in their own way. So it may be possible that the original meaning lost its place.
Movie is very much related with our religious stories as it has a story of a prince and his kingdom and also of a BAD king. Here, Structuralist approach of Sign, Signifier and Signified is also can imply. The very name of the protagonist Bahubali indicates...
     Sign : of rival
     Signifier: freedom or liberation
     Signified: power to save poor
i.e.,
In the movie when the present king(Bhallala Deva) with his arrogance putting his idol as if he were a God, at that time he has denied to speak even a name of Bahubali(the previous king) and had made all people his slave. At that time one man was fallen down when they holding a rope of an idol which the king was going to installation. He was helped by Bahubali(Prince/Shiva) and because of the resembling of the face of the prince with his father, the slave man identify him and instead of the warning of a king not to speak Bahubali's name, all started speaking his name and got a lot of energy that their God came back. and now they will not remain slave.
Thus, words have its own meaning and it differs man by man. King has a doubt now that his throne will be lost. And people got relaxation that they will be free.
Movie is well structured, that its main purpose of mystery stays as it is, even after the end of the movie...
